Belarus has signed the United Nations Convention Against Cybercrime. Under the authority granted by Decree No. 326 of September 9, 2025, issued by Alexander Lukashenko, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov took part in the signing.
A delegation from the Belarusian Interior Ministry led by Kubrakov is on an official visit to Vietnam. Today, a high-level United Nations conference took place in Hanoi. Vietnamese President Luong Cuong and UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed foreign delegations and thanked them for their joint efforts in combating crime.
More than 100 countries have signed the UN Convention Against Cybercrime. The document aims to strengthen international cooperation in countering crimes in the field of information technology. In particular, it provides for round-the-clock data exchange, opportunities to request mutual assistance in investigations and judicial proceedings, and other measures. Governments will gain stronger tools to protect children and assist victims of cybercrime.
Kubrakov also held several meetings with his counterparts from other countries to discuss practical cooperation between law enforcement agencies, the Interior Ministry’s press service reported.
