Belarus Reintroduced Export Duties on Liquefied Hydrocarbon Gases

The Council of Ministers adopted a resolution increasing export duties on liquefied hydrocarbon gases. The document will enter into force after publication and will apply retroactively to relations arising from April 1, the government press service said.

The duties will amount to:

• 5.2 dollars per ton for liquefied hydrocarbon gases,
• 4.6 dollars per ton for ethane, butane and isobutane.

It should be recalled that duties on these gases had been reduced to zero starting from June 1, 2025. Before that, they had also been set at zero from February 1, 2024, but were later reintroduced and remained in force from September 2024 through May 2025.
