The Belarusian Ministry of Justice is completing work on a draft law on official heraldic symbols. This was announced by Justice Minister Yauhen Kavalenka, BelTA reports.
According to him, the draft law is aimed at ensuring a stricter hierarchy of heraldic symbols, uniformity in approaches to their description and depiction, as well as regulating their use.
“Unfortunately, at times we see certain abuses by unscrupulous individuals who use badges on their clothing without having the right to wear them. Therefore, this draft law establishes a ban on wearing badges by persons not entitled to do so and at the same time предусматривает the establishment of administrative liability for violating the ban,” he said.
Another meeting of the interagency working group on the draft law was held today at the National Archives of Belarus with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Research Institute of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Labor, and other agencies.
