The Belarusian government has adopted a resolution to introduce licensing for the export of recyclable paper or cardboard (waste paper and scraps). The corresponding decree has been signed and will take effect following its official publication.
The measure aims to reduce the export of raw material resources from the country, support domestic producers of paper and cardboard products, and increase the production of import-substituting and export-oriented goods, the government’s press service reported.
The restriction will remain in effect for six months.
