Belarus increased imports of Russian pasta in January-July. This follows statistics published by Agroexport, a center under Russia’s Agriculture Ministry.
According to the data, Russian pasta supplies to Belarus amounted to $37 million. This is $3.7 million more than in the same period last year.
The increase in imports in value terms may be linked to higher prices. In January-July, Russia as a whole (excluding EAEU countries for July) exported 66,000 tonnes of pasta worth about $112 million. In value terms, exports increased by 7% compared with the same period last year, but fell by 8.3% in volume terms.
The top five export destinations also included Kazakhstan (about $26 million), Uzbekistan ($12 million), Azerbaijan (more than $6.5 million) and Georgia (more than $6 million).
