In September 2026, Poland supplied 1,675 tonnes of pears to Belarus — about 84% of all pear exports to destinations outside the European Union. The figures are reported by sad24.pl, citing Poland’s State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service.

A total of 2,002 tonnes of pears were shipped to non-EU markets during the month. In addition to Belarus, buyers included Kazakhstan — 156 tonnes, Ukraine — 149 tonnes, Libya — 20 tonnes, Mongolia — 1.5 tonnes, and Norway — 130 kg.

Compared with September 2025, exports outside the EU fell by approximately 19%, from 2,485 tonnes a year earlier. In September 2024, the figure was 3,058 tonnes, while in 2023 it reached 5,606 tonnes.

Data on Poland’s total pear exports, including shipments within the European Union, for September 2026 are not yet available. In September last year, they amounted to 5,466 tonnes, compared with 8,200 tonnes in 2024 and 10,499 tonnes in 2022.

Belarus remains the largest buyer of pears from Poland. The original publication notes that growth in Polish production could contribute to expanding the geography of exports, but the Belarusian market is likely to remain of key importance for some time.
