Belarus and Russia have coordinated their work at the United Nations, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry following a telephone conversation between Deputy Foreign Ministers Ihar Sakreta and Dmitry Lyubinsky. The call took place at the initiative of the Belarusian side.
The two sides coordinated cooperation at international forums, including efforts to combat transnational organised crime ahead of the 35th session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is scheduled to take place in Vienna from June 1 to 5. They agreed to work closely on resolutions submitted for consideration during the session, including the Kazakhstan-Belarus draft resolution “Countering Trafficking in Persons for the Purpose of Compelling Criminal Activity”.
