Average Public Sector Wage Rises by 44 Roubles in March

The average nominal accrued wage of public sector employees in Belarus amounted to 2,290.8 roubles before tax in March. It increased by 2%, or 44 roubles, compared with February.

The real average wage in the public sector grew by 10% in January–March. The data were published by Belstat.

In March, the ratio of wages in public sector organisations to the national average stood at 77%.

The average March wages in the public sector were as follows:

  • in public administration – 3,836.4 roubles (+92.2 roubles compared with the previous month),
  • for teachers – 2,776.5 roubles (+14.1 roubles),
  • for preschool educators – 1,909 roubles (+37.6 roubles),
  • for academic staff – 3,286.5 roubles (+54 roubles),
  • for doctors – 4,331.6 roubles (+140.7 roubles),
  • for mid-level medical personnel – 2,307.4 roubles (+60.7 roubles).
