An assistant train driver died in Stolin district. The incident occurred on 21 May. According to the Investigative Committee, peat was being loaded onto a train at an enterprise.
“After part of the train had been loaded, the driver moved the train forward and, after getting out of the locomotive, found the assistant under the wheels of the first open freight wagon.”, the statement said.
Investigators examined the scene and seized documents related to occupational safety and workplace protection. A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 314 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (violation of railway transport safety or operating rules resulting in death by negligence).
