Antimonopoly Ministry Finds “Extremist Symbols” on AliExpress

The Belarusian Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has discovered goods bearing “extremist” symbols on the AliExpress and Joom marketplaces.

“During monitoring of online platforms, offers for the sale of various goods (flags, badges, stickers, and others) containing information that shows signs of extremist symbols and attributes were identified,” the ministry said.

The materials have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies.

According to screenshots, ministry officials searched for goods using the query “Belarus” and found white-red-white flags as well as stickers featuring the Pahonia emblem.

Belarusian authorities use extremism accusations to combat political opponents and dissent more broadly.
