Air China Flies Chinese-Built Aircraft On International Route For The First Time

Chinese airline Air China has begun operating its first regular flight using a Chinese-built COMAC C919 aircraft. It will fly between Beijing and Ulaanbaatar.

Previously, aircraft of this type were used for domestic flights in China. They have also flown to Hong Kong and operated some charter and demonstration flights abroad.

The COMAC C919 has been in service since May 2023. The aircraft can carry between 158 and 174 passengers. Its service ceiling is 12.1 km, and its maximum range is more than 5,500 km. The aircraft is currently operated by three Chinese airlines.
