Agriculture Ministry Outlines Plans For Farm Machinery Purchases

Belarusian agricultural enterprises will receive new machinery worth about 2 billion rubles this year. The figures were presented at a press conference at the National Press Center by Stanislau Karpovich, head of the Main Directorate for Technical Progress and Energy, State Supervision of the Technical Condition of Machinery and Equipment at the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

According to him, about 9,000 units of machinery were purchased last year. The volumes this year are expected to be no smaller.

“1,200 high-power tractors will be purchased, more than 600 grain harvesters, about 200 forage harvesters and other towed agricultural equipment. In total, about 2 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes,” he said.
