The Interior Ministry press service said it had uncovered a large-scale grain theft in the Pinsk district. A 58-year-old employee of an agricultural enterprise is suspected in the case.
According to police, the man transported grain from the enterprise’s premises by bicycle. In total, he moved around 400 sacks. More than 10 tonnes of wheat, corn and oats were allegedly stolen in this way. The man stored the grain at home and intended to use it for his household farm.
A criminal case has been opened on charges of misappropriation or embezzlement of property entrusted to an individual.
