On October 29, an electronics store reported a theft to the police. After the incident, the suspects left in a Skoda car. Officers established the vehicle’s likely route and stopped it for inspection.
During a search of the car, officers found electronic devices and other valuables. The police were certain that the items had been stolen. The Belarusians were unable to produce receipts or explain how the items had come into their possession, police reported.
The two men, aged 38 and 32, were arrested. Investigators established that they had committed thefts, mainly of electronic equipment, in the neighbouring Oława and Brzeg counties. They face up to five years in prison.
