Agriculture Ministry Reports Harvest of 11 Million Tonnes

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has reported a harvest of 11 million tonnes. According to the ministry, as of November 3, a total of 11.047 million tonnes of grain had been harvested, with rapeseed included in the figure to boost the overall total.

The ministry has not provided figures for individual crops. However, according to Belstat data as of October 1, the country had harvested 7.567 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, 5.2% less than a year earlier. The rapeseed harvest amounted to 1.49 million tonnes, up 49.4% compared with last year.

It should be noted that last year the Agriculture Ministry did not report a harvest of 11 million tonnes until November 26.

The ministry reports harvest figures in the initially recorded weight. The grain is subsequently processed, including cleaning and drying, which reduces the final production volume of grain and oilseeds.
