The Council of Ministers has adopted a resolution changing the procedure for reimbursing expenses by tenants of property. The government press service reported this.

Under the new rules, when premises are leased, the landlord will cover the costs of major property repairs unless otherwise stipulated in an agreement between the parties. In the case of property transferred for free use, these costs will be covered by the borrower.

The resolution also regulates how the area of common-use spaces, for which expenses are subject to reimbursement, is determined. Its size will be established by agreement between the parties, taking into account various conditions and the purpose for which the premises are leased.

When reimbursing expenses for hourly rentals or the free use of real estate, the standard working time for the current year will be used to calculate the reimbursement amount, replacing the standard for the year in which the lease or free-use agreement was concluded.
