Woman in Zhlobin Swears at Employers on Social Media After Years of Job Hunting — and Finds Work

https://reform.news/en/woman-in-zhlobin-swears-at-employers-on-social-media-after-years-of-job-hunting-and-finds-work/A woman from Zhlobin published an angry post on Threads, complaining that the same job vacancies had been appearing on recruitment websites for years. She described the situation as “Groundhog Day.”
The woman has a fairly extensive range of qualifications: cook, pastry chef, cashier, sales assistant and merchandise specialist. But her unsuccessful job search eventually drove her to write in capital letters and use profanity.
“No bad habits (well, except swearing if you push me too far). I have just one ‘sacred’ requirement — a five-day working week with two days off, without your f***ing 12-hour shifts and night-time slavery. […] I’m ready to work my ass off, learn, carry boxes, stand at the stove, even bust my ass in a warehouse or at a factory. […] I’ll send my CV, answer questions and start as soon as tomorrow! If anyone thinks I’m f***ing crazy, it’s just because I’m stressed out from looking for work and having no money.”

Some commenters confirmed that finding a job in Zhlobin was difficult, while others doubted that the woman would find anything with such an approach. But by the following day, she had already found work: employers had invited her to apply in the comments and contacted her through private messages.

“I’ve already found several suitable options with a five-day working week and two days off (for example, a canteen with working hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.),” the woman wrote in response to commenters who were skeptical about finding a job in catering or retail with “reasonable” working hours.

The post received more than 300 likes and over 100 comments.
What Do the Job Websites That Drove Her to Despair Show?
On rab.by, there are only five vacancies in the “Catering” section, and none of them are in Zhlobin. Most likely, the woman was referring to rabota.by. As of October 29, six vacancies for cooks were listed in Zhlobin, with salaries ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 Belarusian rubles before tax. There were two vacancies for pastry chefs offering 1,400–1,640 rubles (with the upper end of the range before tax), seven organizations looking for sales assistants with monthly salaries of 930–2,500 rubles (the upper end before tax), and two organizations seeking cashier-controllers with salaries of 1,200–2,000 rubles (the upper end before tax). At least nine of these vacancies had been posted earlier and were simply being renewed, including listings from Dobronom, Euroopt and EkonomMarket. Judging by its identification number, the “Department Manager” vacancy at Sosedi (No. 108964474) appears to have been created as far back as late 2024 or early 2025.
Gsz.gov.by is the state job vacancy database, where employers are required to register vacancies before advertising them on other websites. There are currently around 775 vacancies listed for the Zhlobin District, including 16 for cooks, three for pastry chefs, 15 for sales assistants, eight for cashier-controllers and one for a merchandise specialist — all professions for which Alina is qualified. It is impossible to verify her “Groundhog Day” claim using the website itself, as the portal does not display the original publication date of vacancies, while most listings are regularly updated.
