Lithuanian Citizen Tried to Hide €25,000 While Leaving Belarus

The driver of a Minsk–Vilnius scheduled bus attempted to conceal more than €25,000 from customs while leaving Belarus, the State Customs Committee reported.

The bus was travelling from Belarus to Lithuania through the Kamenny Loh border checkpoint. The driver, a Lithuanian citizen, chose the green channel when passing through customs.

During an inspection, cash was found in the man’s underwear.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated. The money has been seized pending trial.
