Putin Calls State Duma Elections

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially called elections to the State Duma. The vote will take place on September 20.

As in previous years, a unified voting day is planned. In addition to State Duma deputies, voters will elect the heads of 11 regions and members of 39 regional legislative assemblies.
