OJSC KB Radar is developing a compact X-band radar station called Rebus for short-range detection of small aerial objects. The State Military-Industrial Committee said the system is intended, among other things, to detect drones flying in radio silence.
The stated detection range of Rebus is 5 km.
“Multichannel reception and processing of reflected signals, combined with substantial computing capacity, have ensured a high modernization potential for the system under development. In addition, the universal and compact design of the Rebus radar allows it to be used as part of various platforms, expanding the range of tasks it can perform,” the committee said.
The radar is later expected to be integrated into Radar’s comprehensive solutions for protecting infrastructure facilities.
