Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump.
“Rustem Umerov reported on his latest contacts with the American side. We are not losing a single day. We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level — with President Trump — in the near future. Much could be decided before the New Year,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president unveiled a 20-point peace plan. On the previous day, he said he had held talks with the US president’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. He described the discussion as constructive and intensive, saying that “there are good ideas that could work toward a common outcome and lasting peace.”
