“Our long-range strikes hit the Moscow region very hard this night. One of the key enterprises of Russia’s oil industry and an aggressor’s logistics facility were hit. These are billions of dollars that support the war machine,” he wrote.
According to Zelenskyy, the strikes involved FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palyanytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen and Pelican.
The operation involved the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Intelligence Service.
In addition, Zelenskyy reported a strike on a facility in Voronezh Region, calling it “the application of sanctions.” He did not name the facilities targeted or provide information on the extent of the damage.
“Moscow should not build layered air defense rings at the expense of other regions, but should end its brutal war and choose peace,” the Ukrainian president said.
Zelenskyy added that there are proposals for de-escalation in the energy and food security sectors, but their implementation requires political will.
