A fatal road accident occurred in the Rechytsa District, the Investigative Committee reported.
The accident happened at about 8:20 a.m. on the Oktyabrsky–Parichi–Rechytsa road. According to preliminary information, a resident of Svetlahorsk driving a Renault Laguna lost control, entered the oncoming lane and collided with a DAF truck.
“As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car and her son, born in 2016, died at the scene from their injuries. Another passenger, born in 1969, was taken to the Rechytsa Central District Hospital, where she is receiving medical care,” the Investigative Committee said.
An investigative task force is working at the scene.
