A business jet that may be carrying U.S. President’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner has arrived in Moscow, Interfax reported, citing aviation services.
“The plane landed at Vnukovo airport,” the source told the agency.
Earlier on Friday, Axios reported, citing sources, that Witkoff and Kushner were scheduled to travel to Moscow and Kyiv this weekend to discuss ways to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he had sent the special envoys for talks on resolving the Russian-Ukrainian war. He said Washington had a new idea regarding a possible peace agreement.
Witkoff and Kushner last visited Moscow in January, when they held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Against the backdrop of the visit, Ukrainian Defense Forces units were ordered to observe a ceasefire along the front line from 00:00 on Sept. 5 until 23:59 on Sept. 8.
