In Slonim, the wife of a local resident who publicly spoke about pressure from security forces on his family has been detained. The Grodno Regional Executive Committee’s Internal Affairs Directorate reported that an inspection revealed the woman had subscriptions to “prohibited extremist resources.” She is currently being held in a temporary detention facility awaiting trial under an administrative article.
Earlier, the man said that on March 5 his wife had been summoned to the Investigative Committee without a summons, where she was threatened with losing her job and her foster children. The husband recorded several videos on TikTok describing what was happening and went to the prosecutor’s office with a complaint about the actions of the investigators.
