Ukraine has the means to send signals to the Belarusian authorities, which are in a difficult situation. This was stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by Sergiy Kyslytsya, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
“Belarus is in a difficult situation. And we have ways of sending signals. You saw that there was a very strong signal regarding the retransmitters. Then there were two days of talks between Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin.
As I understand it, if not all, then most of the retransmitters were deactivated. For Lukashenka, this is a matter of survival. He has found himself caught in the middle: on the one hand, it is becoming increasingly difficult for him to resist Putin’s demands, while on the other, he clearly understands the far-reaching consequences of becoming more deeply involved in the aggression against Ukraine,” Kyslytsya said.
According to him, Lukashenka is facing an extremely difficult situation.
“This is a very difficult situation for the Belarusian dictator. And even more so for the Belarusian people, who have unfortunately become hostages to three decades of Belarus’ undemocratic development,” he added.
