The Ukrainian project “Khochu Zhyty” published a short interview with Viktar Babaryka recorded on a bus that brought a group of political prisoners to Ukraine. Babaryka said that his son Eduard remains in detention.
“I am Viktar Dzmitryevich Babaryka. Basically, anyone who has followed the situation in Belarus knows… Why was I imprisoned? For the desire to make life in Belarus better. That is why I was imprisoned. As my son said, who unfortunately is still behind bars: ‘My article is my surname.’”
