Ukraine’s Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets has reported the arrival of a Ukrainian delegation in Oleshky, in the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region. According to him, the ceasefire in the area around the city has been in effect for 80 hours.

“We are in Oleshky! The Ukrainian delegation has safely reached the city,” Lubinets wrote, posting a video from the scene.

He said he was now speaking with local residents to find out what they need and determine what assistance should be provided. The ombudsman promised to share details of the visit later.

“The work is being carried out in accordance with the agreements reached with Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Yana Lantratova, with the assistance and coordination of US First Lady Melania Trump. Our main priority is people in need of assistance. We are doing everything possible to support them and help everyone who needs it,” the ombudsman added.
