Ukraine has offered Lithuania assistance in response to hybrid attacks from Belarus. The issue was discussed today during a phone conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.
“We discussed potential threats to Lithuania from Belarus through hybrid attacks using migration waves and aerial objects. I offered our assistance. We will work to ensure greater security in our region and for our friendly Lithuania,” Zelensky said following the conversation.
Lithuania, in turn, offered Ukraine assistance with gas supplies ahead of the winter. According to the Lithuanian president’s press service, Vilnius is ready to provide continuous deliveries of liquefied natural gas to Ukraine through the LNG terminal in Klaipėda.
