The sanctions will remain in effect for 10 years. They include a ban on the provision of electronic services, the blocking of the cryptocurrency platform’s website and other measures.
White Bird was added to the European Union’s sanctions list in July this year.
In a decree issued on Sunday, Zelenskyy also imposed sanctions on Russian companies linked to the cryptocurrency business. These companies had previously been sanctioned by the European Union, the United States or both. In particular, the measures target legal entities linked to the A7 network. Ukraine has also sanctioned cryptocurrency-related companies from Kyrgyzstan, Thailand and other countries.
