Tsikhanouskaya’s Threads Page Added to List of “Extremist Materials”

The Information Ministry has updated the national list of “extremist materials.” The list now includes the Threads page of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. In recent months, the rapidly growing social network has drawn increased attention from security forces.

The list also includes:

  • Facebook pages “People’s Embassy of Belarus in Slovenia,” “People’s Embassy of Belarus in Montenegro,” and “Belarussische Diaspora in Österreich”;
  • the VKontakte page “ANTIFA-BELARUS”;
  • TikTok accounts “POLITICNEWS” and “zianon_pazniak_cytaty_”;
  • Telegram channels, chats and bots “INFO – Belarusians in Lodz | Belarusy u Lodzi,” “INFO – Lodz – Volnaje Serca LODZ – Volnaje Serca | Belarusians and Ukrainians,” “Belarusians of Lodz – chat Poland / Belarusy Lodz POLAND,” “Volnaje Serca bot for contact with the administration,” and “Revolution”;
  • the video “The Alliance of Tsikhanouskaya and Zelenskyy Threatens Lukashenka”;
  • the Instagram page “Naviny Future”;
  • and the social media accounts of blogger Pavel Spirin.

It should be recalled that in Belarus, extremism charges are used to prosecute opponents of Lukashenka and dissent in general.
