Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya congratulated Belarusian teachers on their professional holiday and thanked them for their work.

“A teacher is much more than a profession. It is a person who can help a child believe in themselves, not be afraid of making mistakes, ask questions and find their own path, have their own opinion and respect the opinions of others,” the democratic forces leader said.

“I know that being a teacher in Belarus today is not easy. And all the more valuable is the fact that you continue to do the most important thing — teach children. The future of the country begins with children. Today you help them grow, and tomorrow they will build a Belarus we will all live in,” she added.
