Tsikhanouskaya on Poland’s Plans to Reopen Border Crossings: This Step Is Meant to Support People

Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya welcomed Poland’s plans to reopen border crossings.

“I welcome Poland’s plans to reopen the border crossings. We have always advocated, and continue to advocate, for open borders for travelers. This is important for Belarusians — for the ability to more easily see their families and maintain connections between people on both sides of the border. This step is meant to support people, because these crossings represent the border with the free world,” the democratic leader said.

The Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration has prepared a draft regulation to reopen the Kuźnica and Bobrowniki checkpoints starting November 17.
