On May 4, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan.
The sides discussed the importance of joint European support for Belarus and Ukraine, as well as opportunities for further cooperation between Slovakia and democratic forces, the Office of Tsikhanouskaya reports.
They also discussed Belarus in the context of Ukraine — Tsikhanouskaya plans to visit Kyiv, while Fico is also planning an official visit to Ukraine.
“Joint European support for Belarus and Ukraine is particularly important today. It is in the common European interest to maintain unity, strengthen support and develop cooperation. A democratic Belarus is ready to be a reliable partner and ally in these matters,” Tsikhanouskaya said.
