Today marks the day of the creation of the Kalinoŭski Regiment. This date will one day enter history textbooks. This was stated by Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
“Today is the day of the founding of the Kalinoŭski Regiment, and this date has already become part of our new history. A history of choosing responsibility and dignity. Belarusian volunteers are our modern-day heroes. They looked the criminal in the eye and were not afraid to go where there is risk and death. And they did so because their conscience does not allow them to remain indifferent.
Belarusians have always stood on the side of truth and justice, and once again proved that the principle ‘my house is on the edge’ is not about Belarusians. Belarusians volunteer throughout Ukraine and beyond. Belarusians collect humanitarian aid in different countries, Belarusians donate, create Points of Invincibility, help the Armed Forces of Ukraine — and fight in their ranks.
One day this date will appear in history textbooks as a reminder: even when a dictatorship prevailed in Belarus, Belarusians still chose freedom. Thank you to everyone who is fighting in Ukraine,” the statement said.
