Tsikhanouskaya Begins Visit to New Zealand and Australia

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is visiting New Zealand and Australia from November 3 to 8 at the invitation of the foreign ministries of both countries.

The program includes visits to Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.

Tsikhanouskaya will meet with government officials, parliamentarians, and members of the Belarusian diaspora, and will speak to students at local universities. On the first day, she is scheduled to meet with New Zealand Prime Minister Winston Peters.

“Our goal is to build relations with both countries, strengthen support for democratic Belarus and Ukraine, and discuss assistance for repressed Belarusians, civil society, and independent media,” Tsikhanouskaya said.
