Tsikhanouskaya and Babaryka Discuss Strategy of Democratic Forces

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and Viktar Babaryka held a working meeting on February 3. It was their first in-person meeting since Babaryka’s release.

Tsikhanouskaya and Babaryka discussed the current agenda, possible steps for various actors of the democratic forces, approaches to forming a shared vision of Belarus’s future that could be believed in by Belarusians both inside the country and abroad, as well as by international partners. Issues related to the strategy of action of the democratic forces were also discussed, the Tsikhanouskaya Office reported.

It should be recalled that on February 1 Babaryka announced his return to politics. He said that he does not yet have a precise plan of action, but is beginning “a movement toward forming it.”
