During the holiday weekend marking Victory Day celebrations, the Belarusian State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI) will step up enforcement on roads and in areas where public events are taking place.
The main focus will be on identifying and removing intoxicated drivers and unlicensed motorists from the roads. Motorcyclists and popular recreation areas will also be placed under increased supervision. Patrol crews from the special traffic police unit “Strela” will assist with preventive operations in the regions.
Due to traffic restrictions in areas hosting праздничные мероприятия, drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance, pay attention to temporary road signs, and follow instructions from traffic controllers.
