The State Control Committee Suspends Operation of Sole Trader’s Retail Outlet Over Pricing

The State Control Committee conducted a pricing inspection in 11 retail outlets in Hrodna and Svislach, identifying various violations. The harshest measures were taken against a Hrodna-based sole trader.

Inspectors found that the individual entrepreneur exceeded the maximum trade markups permitted by the pricing regulation on eight types of products, including tea, gingerbread and wafers. As an example, the The State Control Committee cited wafers sold for 5.3 roubles, although under legal norms their price should not have exceeded 3.29 roubles.

As a result, the entrepreneur’s retail outlet was suspended from operation.
