Strong winds damaged the roofs of 140 houses and 10 agricultural buildings in the Voranava District, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.
Rescue workers were also dispatched 25 times to clear fallen trees in five districts of the Hrodna Region. According to preliminary information, no injuries were reported.
A commission has been set up in the Voranava District to deal with the aftermath of the emergency.
As previously reported, thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds swept across western Belarus today. Streets in Hrodna were flooded, while part of the Pastavy District was left without electricity.
