Investigators probing a drone strike on a Belarusian bus in Russia’s Bryansk region have questioned all witnesses. Conclusions have already been reached and will be reported to Aliaksandr Lukashenka, State Secretary of the Security Council Aliaksandr Valfovich said on Monday.
“It does not matter whose bus it was — Belarusian, Russian or belonging to any other state. It was a bus carrying civilians. But whoever carried out this strike was trying to create a pretext to pit Belarus against Ukraine and provoke some kind of undesirable situation.”, BelTA quoted Valfovich as saying.
According to him, the investigation is ongoing.
“Our special services and the Investigative Committee are conducting the most thorough investigation possible. All the facts will be analyzed. All witnesses and those who were on the bus have already been questioned. There are already certain findings, so to speak, that will be reported to the head of state. A decision will be made. But it will not be possible to drag Belarus into the conflict. We stand for peace, common sense and resolving all issues through diplomatic means.”, he added.
