Solar Eclipse Observed in Belarus — Video

This evening, residents of Belarus were able to observe a partial solar eclipse. The Moon passed in front of the Sun and covered part of its disk.

The total phase of the eclipse was not visible in Belarus — the country was outside the path of the Moon’s total shadow. The eclipse began in the evening and lasted about an hour, although the duration of the observable phase depended on the specific city.

Residents of a narrow strip passing through Greenland, Iceland, Spain, parts of Portugal and Russia’s Taimyr Peninsula were able to see the total phase.
