The Security Councils of Belarus and Russia have signed a cooperation plan for 2026–2027. The document was signed by Belarusian State Secretary of the Security Council Alyaksandr Valfovich and Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu on the sidelines of a meeting of CIS Security Council secretaries, BelTA reported.
“We are in constant contact. The issues discussed by our leaders require our continued attention,” Shoigu said, commenting on his meeting with Valfovich.
The meeting of CIS Security Council secretaries addressed matters of international and regional security, challenges within the CIS region, possible joint response measures, and the development of humanitarian and educational cooperation among member states.
