A school cafeteria cook in Polatsk will stand trial after allegedly serving children reduced portions and taking the surplus food home, the Polatsk district prosecutor’s office reported.
According to the case materials, the 38-year-old woman systematically stole food from the school cafeteria between September 2025 and February 2026. Investigators say the cook intentionally violated food preparation procedures by failing to add the required amount of ingredients to meals under established standards. She allegedly removed the excess products from the cafeteria at the end of the workday.
Authorities found 84 packs of butter, cheese, fish fillet, and minced meat at the defendant’s home. Material damages are estimated at 900 rubles. A criminal case has been opened under the article on misappropriation of property (Article 211 of the Criminal Code). The woman has been placed under a travel restriction order.
