Russia’s Profitable Oil Reserves to Last 32 Years

Russia’s profitable oil reserves will be sufficient for 32 years. This was reported by TASS, citing a presentation by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

According to the presentation, Russia’s profitable oil reserves are estimated at 15 billion tonnes, which should last for 32 years.

Geological recoverable oil reserves amount to around 31 billion tonnes, which could be sufficient for 62 years.

It should be noted that exploration of new reserves is ongoing. The assessment of the period for which they may be sufficient also depends on the pace of extraction.

For comparison, in 2024 Alyaksandr Lukashenka stated that Belarus’s industrial oil reserves amount to about 45 million tonnes. Last year, the country produced 2 million tonnes of oil.
