Russia Launches 570 Missiles and Drones at Ukraine as Number of Casualties in Kyiv Continues to Rise

The Ukrainian Air Force has released the results of Russia’s large-scale overnight attack. In total, Russia launched 570 aerial weapons, with Kyiv as the primary target.

“A distinctive feature of this massive attack was the simultaneous use of different types of air attack weapons launched from multiple directions, including a large number of ballistic missiles and jet-powered drones,” the Air Force said.

Russia launched 74 missiles and 496 drones at Ukraine, including four Tsirkon missiles, 24 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, 34 Kh-101 cruise missiles, eight Kalibr cruise missiles, and four Kh-59/69 missiles.

Ukrainian air defenses intercepted or suppressed 524 targets, including 48 missiles and 476 drones. The intercepted missiles included every type except the Tsirkon.

Hits by 25 ballistic missiles and 12 drones were recorded at 33 locations, while debris from intercepted weapons fell at a further 18 locations.

As reported earlier, apartment buildings in every district of Kyiv sustained damage, including partial destruction.

The death toll in Kyiv has risen to 13, while 56 people have been injured. Emergency rescue operations are continuing.
