Russia Increases Dairy Exports to Belarus by 25%

Russia increased its dairy exports to Belarus by 25% in January–May to $40 million, according to Russia’s Agroexport center.

“The main product categories driving this growth were ice cream (+49%), fermented dairy products (+42%) and whey (+36%),” the center said.

Alongside Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Belarus remains one of the main export markets for Russian dairy products. Overall Russian dairy exports increased by 14% year on year in volume terms to 104,000 metric tons in the first five months of the year, while export value rose by 19% to $245 million.
