The human rights centre Viasna reported that a person was detained in Minsk today on political grounds. Details and reasons for the detention are not being disclosed for the safety of the source.
The incident occurred on the same day that 250 political prisoners were released in Belarus as part of an agreement with the United States. Of these, 235 were freed داخل the country, while another 15 were taken to Lithuania.
