Belarusian human rights organizations have issued a statement recognizing Aliaksei Isayeu, Maksim Dudarha, Siarhei Vasiukevich, Aliaksei Shylovich, Vital Vyprazhkin, Aliaksandr Niadzvedski, Uladzimir Dzharayeu, and Siarhei Litsvinko as political prisoners.
According to the rights defenders, they were taken into custody or sentenced to imprisonment in connection with alleged interaction with “extremist formations.”
The human rights defenders call for the release of the named individuals, as well as all other political prisoners, and for an end to political repression, the statement published by the Human Rights Center Viasna says.
