Restrictions on Visiting Forests Introduced in Belarus

Restrictions on visiting forests have begun to be introduced in Belarus, the Ministry of Forestry reported.

In most districts of the country, a third-level fire danger classification has been established due to dry weather conditions.

The ministry clarified that such restrictions usually prohibit entry into forest areas by private vehicles, while access for walking remains allowed.

Over the weekend, five forest fires were recorded within the forestry system, affecting 3.9 hectares. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 30 forest fires and incidents have occurred, covering an area of 10.4 hectares.
